FESTIVE CHEER FOR THE DISABLED
In conjunction with the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Malaysia Day celebrations, staff of Smart Reader® Worldwide Sdn visited the Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah as part of its Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR) initiative. This home takes care of severely handicapped children with various disabilities.
The visit that took place on September 14th, 2012 witnessed a delightful singing performance by students of Smart Reader Kids®(Aman Suria, Damansara). Although the students from the centre were very young, what was clearly seen was their compassion towards the children of the home. It was a heart-warming experience to witness the students of the Smart Reader Kids® centre and the children of the home embracing and interacting with one another.
Smart Reader® Worldwide represented by Corporate Manager, Kevan Ong, presented a cake to the home, which was represented by caretaker V. Baskar, to mark the Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Malaysia Day celebrations. Kevan then proceeded to distribute ‘duit raya’ to the children of the home, who delightfully received them. The organisation also donated food hampers to children of the home.
The management of Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah expressed their deepest appreciation to Smart Reader® Worldwide for this admirable charity contribution. The organisation has and always will continue to give back to the community in order to bring more smiles on the faces of the children.
