The month of April has proved to be another amazing month for Smart Reader® Worldwide as awards for quality and excellence were presented to the organisation and its Group Executive Director, Dr K H Wang.

Smart Reader® Worldwide was conferred the BIZZ 2012 Beyond Success Award while Dr Wang was bestowed the World Leader in Education award by the World Confederation of Businesses (WORLDCOB) in Barcelona, Spain in April this year.

In addition, the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) awarded Smart Reader®Worldwide the European Award For Best Practices in Amsterdam, Netherlands in the same month.

Dr Wang’s award is the twenty-fifth award she has won so far, making her the Woman Entrepreneur who has won the Most Number of Awards, an unbeaten   record, thus far, that was endorsed by the Malaysia Book Of Records (MBOR) last year.

The BIZZ and ESQR awards are the sixteenth and seventeenth international awards conferred upon Smart Reader® Worldwide respectively.

WORLDCOB is a leading international business organisation that promotes business development worldwide, recognising and boosting the growth of leading companies and business people around the globe while ESQR invites renowned business leaders, academic experts, quality professionals and media representatives from all over the world to participate in a convention, bringing together the best professionals and companies in the field of quality.

The ESQR recognises and honours quality driven companies on an international scale. It also handles strategic questions on quality management and promotes quality culture and continuous improvement in quality.

Smart Reader® Worldwide received the ESQR award in recognition of excellent and outstanding results in quality and innovation. The awardee companies are from a wide range of business sectors that strive for excellence and have proven their capabilities through their accomplishments.

For the BIZZ awards, the criteria that were reviewed included managerial leadership, management systems, product and service quality, managerial creativity, managerial innovation, social support and results obtained.

Meanwhile, Dr Wang received her award on the basis of her dedication and contribution in the field of education. She received the awards from Development Director of the World Confederation of Businesses, Nicholas Caffaro.

Dr Wang said she sees her success in the hundreds of thousands of children who have passed through doors of Smart Reader Kids®, having benefited from the Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology®.

These children have performed well academically and have been enrolled in reputable universities around the world. This includes both her sons who have had the exposure to the creative teaching approach and, thus, excelled in their studies.

Dr Wang’s elder son, Kevan Ong, has just completed a Master of Science degree, majoring in Management from the United Kingdom while the younger son, Keefe Ong, a straight ‘A’ student, scored high distinctions in the university foundation programme. He will be reading law in Australia.

She further reiterated that her son is a living testimony to the effectiveness of the Smart Reader Creative Teaching approach and that a proven, tested and successful programme is necessary to initiate the right start in life.

“Pre-school education is the most important phase in an individual’s learning experience. Making the right decision will instill great learning interest; hence, setting the path for a bright future,” she added.
