The Spelling Master of the day and Training Manager of Smart Reader® Worldwide, Ms. Jennifer Sagaiyamary A/P Deravasoo said that she was in awe by the overwhelming support from parents and franchisees of Smart Reader Kids®.  We had received more than 286 participations in Peninsular Malaysia. In this modern era, most children prefer to stay home with internet and gadgets, but it’s great to know that young parents understand the importance of motivating children to participate in educational activities,” she quoted.

Officiating the event was Mr Keefe Ong, the Executive Director of Smart Reader® Worldwide.  In his speech, he emphasised on how the competition can truly assist in encouraging the usage of English Language from a very young age.  English language had gained significant importance in Malaysia as it is widely and extensively utilised in communication, informative literature and websites, business and finance as well as entertainment.  That is one of the main reasons why it is vital for us to build a good foundation in the language as it allows the children to attain higher levels of English proficiency in future,” he said.  He thanked Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur for sponsoring the venue as well as other venues which were AEON Bandar Dato’ Onn, Johor, and Pragin Mall, Penang for allowing the children to showcase their talent.

Each participant also received attractive goodie bags, thanks to sponsors:  Cotra Enterprise Sdn Bhd (Vitagen), Wealthy Products Sdn Bhd (Harriston Chocolate), Socma Trading Sdn Bahd (Hallo Panda), Mighty Bakery Sdn Bhd (Cream Roll), and CCM Duo Pharma Sdn Bhd (Champs).
