Once again, Smart Reader® Worldwide celebrates the wonderful festive celebration by bringing joy to the less fortunate. More than 60 underprivileged children from Rumah Charis and Sweet Care Welfare Society were invited to a memorable Chinese New Year celebration at Wisma Smart Reader® Worldwide.
The exciting evening began with lion dance blessings where children were enthralled by the tantalising act. This is followed by a special video presentation of the history of Lunar New Year made by the Training Department of Smart Reader® Worldwide. Then, the audience was entertained by a Chinese New Year themed stage entertainment, performed by the students from Smart Reader Kids® Puncak Alam, Smart Reader Kids® SS19 Subang Jaya, Smart Reader Kids® Taman Bidara, Smarrt Reader Kids® Bukia Kuda and Smart Reader Kids® Taman Bukit Indah. The exciting performances of Smart Reader Kids® captivated the audiences, filling the hall with smiles and applauses. The supportive staff of Smart Reader® Worldwide joined in the fun by presenting their own unique performances.
Welcoming the esteemed guests to the celebration is Mr. Kevan Ong, Executive Director of Smart Reader® Worldwide. He quoted “Smart Reader® Worldwide has focused on not only the provision of quality preschool services to its young students at Smart Reader Kids®, but also in bringing about positive change and well-being to the community. From our National One Child One Hope Education Scholarship Programme, which aims at ensuring equal access to early childhood education, to our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility events, we are continuously looking for avenues to give back to society.’ The management of Smart Reader® Worldwide then presented ang pows and goodie bags containing with books and food to the children from the charitable homes.
Smart Reader® Worldwide initiated the National One Child One Hope Education Scholarship Programme in 2009, with the aim of ensuring equal access to quality preschool education. Since its inception, the programme has funded more than 500 less fortunate children nationwide to attend preschool education. More than RM 2,000,000 worth of scholarships had been distributed nationwide and through numerous charity establishments such as Yayasan Sultan Kelantan Darulnaim, Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra and Yayasan Diraja Sultan Mizan.
