In conjunction with this year’s Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebrations, Smart Reader® Worldwide had organised an exclusive Fashion Show Competition and Colouring Activities for Smart Reader Kids® students aged 4 to 9 years old. The glittering event took place in several shopping centres located around Klang Valley, Johor and Penang.
These activities aim to celebrate the spirit of independence and promote creativity among participants. The participants were encouraged to incorporate elements of Malaysian culture and heritage into their outfit, symbolising the unity and diversity of our nation.
The event attracted a large number of participants, with children eagerly participating in the competition. The runway was filled with vibrant colours, as the young models confidently strutted down the catwalk, showcasing their innovative outfit. Parents cheered on, amazed by the talent and confidence displayed by these young individuals.
In addition to the Fashion Show Competition, Smart Reader® Worldwide also organised Colouring Activities. These activities aimed to nurture their artistic skills while instilling a sense of patriotism. The children were provided with colouring sheets featuring iconic Malaysian landmarks, national symbols, and cultural motives. With crayons or colour pencils in hand, they enthusiastically brought these images to life with their imaginative use of colours.
Furthermore, celebrating the spirit of independence through these activities helps break societal norms and encourages individuals to challenge conventional thinking. It fosters an environment where diverse perspectives are valued. By promoting creativity among participants, these activities contribute to personal growth, intellectual stimulation, and the development of critical thinking.
